Enrolment Details and Form

Children may be enrolled prior to attending the first day and enrolment forms may be obtained from the school office. Whenever possible the Principal will meet with prospective parents and students. Students enrolled prior to starting will have an opportunity to visit their prospective classroom and meet their future teacher. New entrant children will be invited to have 2 half days in the new entrant room prior to commencing school to assist with transitioning to school (the new entrant teacher - will contact parents to organise these visits). When enrolling a student, parents will require a birth certificate or passport for the child and immunisation certificate/record.

Enrolment Zone

Please note that our enrolment zone has changed from 1 January 2019.  View enrolment scheme here.

Out of Zone

If you are living outside of the school’s zone, it is only possible to secure a place at the school if there is a vacancy.  The reason for setting up the enrolment zone is to ensure that our class sizes do not become too large. View enrolment scheme here.

Children living outside of the zone, including those with siblings at school, may obtain a place through a ballot system.  You must fill out the form and return it to the school as soon as possible.  We will write to you after the ballot takes place to let you know whether we can offer a position at the school or not.

School Fees & Donations

School Donation

$75.00   1 child

$115.00   2 children

$145.00   3 or more children

Parents will also be asked to contribute towards the cost of trips, sports and cultural events, and performances by visiting performers. Fundraising activities are held to subsidize some activities.

Year 7 and 8 Technology Fees

All Year 7 and 8 students will be attending Technology classes at Katikati College for 4-5 lessons per term. The students travel to Technology by bus. The cost for these lessons is $80 per student or $20 per term. This amount covers the take home component of the lessons e.g. cooking ingredients, wooden and metal items designed, built and taken home each week. We ask that this cost is covered by all Year 7 and 8 students.

Mathletics Subscription

OPS has signed up again this year to the Mathletics programme. This programme helps our students to continue to make significant gains in Maths especially basic facts recall. The cost per pupil to join through a school is $22 as opposed to the normal family subscription of $100 per year. The school can pay $6 and we ask parents to donate $16 (that’s $4 per term). Once signed up your child has access to Mathletics at school and at home. The Mathletics programme is used by students in Rooms 8, 9, 5, 5L, 6, 7, 11, 12 at school.
